Humanitarian Aid

Nobody should be left out in the cold…

Over two million Jews still live in the Former Soviet Union. More than a third of them are poor. Single-parent families, elderly, disabled and sick – many lack the most basic needs, such as food, clothing and medicine.

The Federation for Jewish Communities operates  soup kitchens and delivers thousands of additional meals to people who can’t leave their homes, children and needy families. We also distribute clothes and medications, and operate medical clinics, orphanages, safe homes, assisted living and senior activity centers for Jews throughout the FSU.

Thanks to our partnerships with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, the Claims Conference, the Joint Distribution Committee, the Ezra Foundation, the Global Jewish and Relief Network and others, we are striving to ensure that every needy member of our family is truly taken care of.
