“A nation’s greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members.” (Mahatma Ghandi)
Free daycare centers in all ten Federation countries are currently being set up for physically or handicapped children. Based on the successful model initiated in 1996 in Dnepepetrovsk, Ukraine, autism, Downs Syndrome and a myriad of other afflictions will no longer be a reason to hide away children who could otherwise grow up to be fully functional members of society.
These children will finally be able to socialize with their peers in a loving environment supervised by specially trained professionals, providing their parents with a few hours of respite from round-the-clock care, and the opportunity to focus on the rest of the family. Furthermore, the nutritious hot meals and medical checkups the children receive relieve some of the financial and logistical burden on these families, for whom home healthcare is usually not an option.
