Nothing adds to a child’s self-esteem like a new set of trendy clothes. The homeless, the uncared for, the sick and the handicapped – all stand to benefit from the self-confidence, motivation and integration that good clothes provide. And, in the freezing temperatures of many FSU regions, insufficient clothing is often a guarantee for illness and school truancy.
In cooperation with the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, the Federation of Jewish Communities distributes coupons and clothing packages to needy children. Sums distributed are sufficient for a wide range of warm clothes that may include outerwear, footwear, underwear, etc.
