Kherson, Ukraine – A diploma for excellence, warm words, exhibitions, an original performance and a lecture on psychological tricks – were all part of the FJC’s ‘Or Avner’ special event taking place in honor of the 15th of Shvat festival.
Hundreds of children, parents and community members – packed the banquet hall of Kherson’s Synagogue, in order to participate in the unique event which opened with the award of a special diploma to one of the Jewish school’s pupils for excellence in his studies.
Later, words of wisdom, were delivered by the community’s Rabbi and the School’s principal about the significance of ‘Tu B’shvat’ and how that in fact our children are our best fruits.
The successful event continued with an original play performed by the school’s pupils, an amusing lecture on psychological tricks and with a special art exhibition. [nggallery id=183]
