Seventeen youth leaders from Jewish communities across Russia and the FSU gathered at the “Otradnoye” Jewish University Campus for an exciting and uplifting six-day seminar, concluding the YAHAD Leadership School program for 2024.

The young participants engaged in a comprehensive program aimed at equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to enhance their work within their local communities. The program featured informal education, Judaic studies, and practical training sessions. Led by Rabbi Schneur Kosenko and top instructors including Yael Khorlenok, Nesya, Rabbi Menachem Bushan, and Rabbi Boruch Aizman, the seminar covered a range of topics from conflict resolution to financial management within both formal and informal Jewish education institutions and initiatives.

One highlight was the opportunity for participants to conduct and lead two Shabbat meals with teenagers and youngsters. The event also featured workshops on prayer, acting, and psychological strategies for working with youth.

The seminar concluded with a graduation ceremony on a Radisson flotilla boat, where each participant received a diploma and commemorative gifts, celebrating their achievements and readiness to lead.

They are packed with ambition and motivation to lead Russian Jewry’s future generation to a strong and empowering connection to Judaism and its roots in a positive and creative manner.
