During a formal visit to Israel, the Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch, the educational arm of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, and secretary to the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky, paid an exciting and emotional visit to the JNF Nes-Harim educational facility, currently hosting Jewish refugee children from the FJC’s ‘Alumim’ Children’s home and orphanage in Zhytomyr, Ukraine.
Rabbi Krinsky’s delegation included Rabbis Yosef B. Friedman and Shmaya Krinsky, respectively, board member and executive director of the Machne Israel social-services arm of Chabad – were warmly welcomed by the Chief Rabbi of West Ukraine, the institution’s staff, nearly one hundred refugee children and additional Ukrainian rabbis now residing in Israel.
Addressing the children, Rabbi Krinsky spoke about their special mission to serve as shining examples during this challenging era and encouraged them to be hopeful and joyful.
