Passover Seminar 2026 Grants Ukraine’s Jewish Students an Uplifting Holiday Experience

In a continued display of dedication and resilience, STARS Ukraine once again brought together forty Jewish students and young professionals from across the country for a meaningful and enriching Passover seminar.

Held over nine days at the STARO hotel in Kyiv, near the KEDEM Jewish community center, the program offered participants the opportunity to celebrate Passover in full accordance with Jewish tradition. The seminar featured inspiring Seder nights, communal prayers, engaging lectures and classes, along with trips, Chassidic gatherings, music, and a warm, vibrant atmosphere throughout. The program was led by Rabbi Pinchas Wishedsky, director of STARS Ukraine, together with Rebbetzin Dina and their family.

“I have never before had the opportunity to truly experience Passover in such an uplifting way,” one participant shared during a closing symposium. “Without this seminar, I wouldn’t have known where to begin. Thanks to STARS, I was able to celebrate a genuinely kosher Passover while connecting with others and growing together.”

For many Jewish students across Ukraine, observing Passover at home remains a complex and often financially challenging endeavor. The “Passover for Students” initiative was established to ensure that every young Jew has access to a meaningful and kosher holiday experience in a supportive environment.

This successful initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the STARS World Organization, led by Rabbi Avi Cassel; Friends of STARS Ukraine led by Rabbi Pinchas Vishedski; and JRNU, under the leadership of Rabbi Shlomo Peles.
