Accompanied by a delegation, Mrs. Dorit Golender, the Israeli ambassador to Russia, visited last week the thriving Jewish community of Perm, Russia. She became closely acquainted with the community, its JCC and its educational institutes.

In a special dinner that took place in her honor, later on that day, Mrs. Golender gave the community greetings from the Governor of the Perm region, Mr. Viktor Basargina and remarked:

“Russia is a multinational country and we really appreciate that here we can nurture and teach our children, taking into account national and cultural characteristics, in accordance with our traditions”.

She concluded her impressive visit by sending the community her best wishes for its further development and success.  [nggallery id=246]
