Rabbi Ovadia Isakov, the FJC’s representative to Derbent who miraculously recovered from his wounds after being shot by a Muslim terrorist, took the opportunity to personally thank the President of the FJC, Mr. Lev Leviev, at a special dinner that took place in New York.
More than 80 representatives of Jewish Bukharin communities in the USA participated last week in a special dinner in Queens, New York, that was honored by Mr. Leviev as its distinguished guest.
During the event Rabbi Isakov was invited to say a few words. He spoke about how he was shot and then transferred to Israel for treatment. He pointed out how he miraculously survived, and personally thanked Mr. Leviev for his gracious help in saving his life.
