In a heartfelt ceremony held in Odesa, South Ukraine, students of Leaders JUniversity marked the completion of their studies and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. More than just an academic conclusion, the graduation represented years of dedication, personal development, and community involvement.

Leaders JUniversity, located in Odesa, has become a hub for young Jewish leaders across Ukraine, offering a unique blend of higher education and Jewish values. This year’s graduating class reflected the program’s success in nurturing students who are now prepared to take on professional and communal roles.

The event began with a moment of spiritual reflection, including the reading of a letter from the Rebbe, Psalm 20, and a moment of silence. Warm greetings were shared by Rabbi Mendy Wolf on behalf of Chief Rabbi of Odesa and Southern Ukraine, Rabbi Avraham Wolff, along with Rabbi Fishel Chichelnitsky and university rector Naum Malamud.

Among the many highlights was the awarding of diplomas, including honors distinctions to Rina Shevchuk, Moshe Tzvi Lobanov, Lea Kruzhkova, Sara Lyubimova, Shimon Tkachenko, and Gershon Velikolug. Each diploma represented a unique journey of effort, perseverance, and growth.

The ceremony also welcomed distinguished guests from Odesa’s academic community, including Professor Anatoliy Kovalov, Rector of Odesa University of Economics; Professor Hanna Muzychenko of Ushynsky Pedagogical University; Professor Iryna Lomachynska of Odesa National University; Dr. Olga Hura, Director of Odesa College of Trade and Economics; and Dr. Lyudmyla Kuznetsova of Odesa Law Academy.

Students contributed to the event with a creative program of stand-up, performances, and tributes, recalling moments from their academic life—study sessions, shared holidays, dormitory life, and communal celebrations. Particularly moving were the expressions of gratitude to the university’s educators who served as mentors and sources of inspiration.

Surprise video messages from past graduates rounded out the program, sharing fond memories and emphasizing how the university helped shape their spiritual and professional paths. The evening concluded with a festive dinner and group photos to mark this special day.
