The Jewish University of Moscow held its 2026 graduation ceremony at the Marina Roscha Jewish Community Center, bringing together graduates, educators, families and members of the Jewish community for an evening of achievement, gratitude and new beginnings.

The ceremony honored young Jewish students completing both the university’s four-year academic program and its high-school division. University President Rabbi Avraham Bekerman, Vice President Rabbi Eli Riss and Rector Dr. Alexander Lebedev addressed the graduates, offering words of encouragement as they prepared to begin the next stage of their personal and professional lives. Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar emphasized the Jewish value of continuous learning, reminding the students that personal growth does not end with the receipt of a diploma.

During the central and most moving part of the ceremony, the graduates received their state diplomas and school certificates. Students participating in the university’s international academic partnership with Touro University also received certificates recognizing their completion of the joint program. The longstanding partnership provides eligible students with opportunities to complement their Russian academic qualifications with internationally recognized studies.

Following the formal ceremony, the graduates enjoyed a festive reception, gifts and a special program organized by JewSa, the university’s Jewish student association. The celebration reflected the close-knit campus environment in which students form friendships, develop initiatives and become part of a supportive Jewish community.

The Jewish University combines professional education with Jewish studies and personal development. Its broader educational framework includes separate men’s and women’s programs, bachelor’s degree studies, a high-school program for students in grades 10–11, and a college division offering professional certificate courses, including design.
