Construction of the long-awaited Mogilev Educational Jewish Community Center (JCC) is nearing completion. The center, a beacon of Jewish life in the heart of Belarus, will serve thousands of Jews from the city and surrounding region and provide a vital space for educational, humanitarian, religious, cultural, and social activities.
“We are thrilled to see the Mogilev educational JCC coming to life,” said Rabbi Mendel Alperovitz, the Chief Rabbi and Chabad emissary of Mogilev. “This center will be a crucial hub for our community, offering formal and informal Jewish educational programs, social events, and a place for people of all ages to connect with their roots, tradition, and heritage. With your support, we can ensure the JCC is fully equipped to serve this special and historic community for generations to come.”
The Jewish community in Mogilev has a rich history dating back centuries. Today, the community is experiencing a resurgence, with a growing number of young families and a renewed interest in Jewish life. The Mogilev Eucational JCC will play a vital role in supporting this growth and ensuring a vibrant future for Judaism in the region.
