In keeping with a cherished tradition, twenty outstanding students from the ‘Beit Chaya’ Jewish Orphanage and Children’s Home in Moscow were rewarded with an unforgettable five-day journey to China. The trip, made possible by the generous support of an anonymous donor, celebrated students’ exceptional conduct, dedication to their studies, and care for others.
Each year, top students are selected for a special educational trip, which in previous years has included destinations such as Azerbaijan, Dagestan, Sochi, Petersburg, and Israel. This year’s journey took the group across China, where they explored iconic landmarks and cultural treasures.
Accompanied by a professional tour guide, the students visited the renowned Forbidden City in Beijing, walked the ancient Great Wall of China, marveled at the breathtaking glass bridge, and experienced other leading attractions that combined history, adventure, and discovery.
The group joined prayers and festive meals at the Beijing Chabad House led by Rabbi Shimon and Dini Freundlich, who also shared words of inspiration with the participants. The journey left a deep impression on the students, offering both enjoyment and enrichment – a once in a lifetime experience.
