This summer, more than 10,000 Jewish families with children across Ukraine are receiving generous food parcels and purchase vouchers, bringing vital relief during a time of ongoing hardship. The effort is organized by the Jewish Relief Network Ukraine (JRNU)—the Federation of Jewish Communities’ humanitarian arm in Ukraine—together with the LifeChanger UA project.

Each package contains a variety of kosher essentials, including whole chicken, milk, condensed milk, sugar, apple juice, sunflower oil, mayonnaise, ketchup, oatmeal cookies, honey cakes, crackers, sweet snacks, black tea, instant coffee, rice, buckwheat, oats, pasta, and canned corn—providing both nourishment and comfort. Sweet treats for the children add a touch of joy and warmth alongside the practical staples.

JRNU activists and volunteers, working in 250 cities and towns—including remote and isolated areas—are ensuring that supplies reach those most in need. The food is being distributed through home deliveries, community centers, and vouchers redeemable at major retail chains.

“It is moving to see the smiles on the faces of children and their parents,” shares Rabbi Simcha Levenhartz of JRNU. “When the food arrives, whether at their homes or at distribution points, their eyes say it all—the joy of knowing they are not alone, the anticipation of receiving tasty, kosher, and nourishing food, and the hope that a better future awaits thanks to caring partners from around the world.”

Through the combined efforts of JRNU, LifeChanger UA, and the FJC network, each box is more than just a delivery—it is a lifeline, a sign of solidarity, and a reminder that the Jewish community remains united even in the most challenging times.
