Over 450 Jewish women from 45 cities across Russia and Belarus recently gathered in Petersburg for an extraordinary Shabbaton, a weekend of inspiration and unity that brought together dedicated participants from the renowned Kollel Torah learning network.
450 Voices – One Melody
The Shabbaton, themed “Your Note, Our Melody,” emphasized the idea that each woman’s voice contributes to a grand, harmonious symphony of Jewish unity and faith.
The weekend was packed with enriching activities, including engaging Torah classes and workshops offering deep insights into Jewish wisdom and tradition; meaningful connections and inspiration, fostering real bonds among participants from diverse backgrounds; and a captivating concert by Israeli singer Yafush Barkan, which became the emotional high point of the event, bringing many to tears of joy.
The Kollel Torah Shabbaton was spearheaded by a dedicated team of Chabad emissaries, led by Mrs. Leah Lipsker, and generously supported by the Meromim Foundation, “770” Foundation, the Federation of Jewish Communities – FJC, Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar, FEOR headed by Rabbi Alexander Borada, Elazar Ben Yehuda Chachinaishvili, the Lenovitch Family, and the Rabbinical Center of Europe.
This remarkable gathering is part of the broader ‘Chochmat Nashim’ (Women’s Wisdom) initiative, established by Kollel Torah. The program unites Jewish women from over 100 cities across the Former Soviet Union and Europe, with more than 2,300 women attending weekly classes, deepening their connection to Torah and tradition.
