Ahead of Purim, the Federation of Jewish Communities (FJC) took on an exciting challenge. In a unique collaboration with its various projects and initiatives, FJC harnessed the power of artificial intelligence to create a groundbreaking video that brings the joy and traditions of Purim to hundreds of thousands of Russian-speaking Jews across the former Soviet Union and around the world. The video quickly went viral, garnering countless views.

The video captures the spirit, history, and customs of Purim through the experience of a young Jewish man casually chatting with FJC’s special AI chatbot. To his amazement—and to the astonishment of viewers—he receives an incredibly lifelike response that leaves everyone amazed.

This special initiative was a joint effort involving all of FJC’s educational programs, both formal and informal, along with the EnerJew youth movement and the YAHAD organization for Jewish students and young professionals. Additionally, FJC’s humanitarian projects, which tirelessly operate across the former Soviet Union, played a key role in making this initiative a success.

In addition, a wide range of additional new materials were produced for Purim, designed for use by the Jewish communities, educational institutions, informal programs, and Jewish families and community members. These resources include quizzes, event scripts, games, festive playlists, lessons and lectures, enrichment materials, and much more.
