Headmasters and school directors of the FJC’s ‘Or Avner’ Jewish educational network from across the Former Soviet Union, convened last week in the Crown Plaza hotel in Jerusalem for a four day professional Seminar dedicated to the revival of Jewish education in the post-Soviet countries.
During the Seminar, the 48 attending senior educators enjoyed professional, legal and pedagogical lectures alongside tours of Jerusalem and cultural events.
In addition, during the seminar, the directors were introduced to the network’s special planned projects for 2015. These include the launching of the ‘Darkeinu Olympics’ second annual Jewish heritage quiz, Teachers Seminars in Moscow and Odessa, Bar and Bat Mitzvah club, the new enrollment Campaign to the network’s kindergartens and schools, further improvements and expansions to the ‘Darkeinu’ innovative Jewish heritage learning programs, and plans for expanding the remarkably successful innovative EnerJew youth movement.
