Following the conclusion of Passover, the Federation of Jewish Communities (FJC) expresses its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the donors, partner foundations, and philanthropists from across the globe whose support made this year’s extensive aid campaign throughout Ukraine successful.
Despite ongoing challenges in the region, the campaign successfully distributed over 100 tons of kosher-for-Passover food, including matzah, grape juice, kosher poultry, and other essential items. More than 50,000 kosher for Passover food packages were delivered to Jewish communities throughout Ukraine, ensuring that thousands of families and individuals were able to celebrate the holiday in accordance with tradition.
This year’s operation included a special kosher meat and poultry shechita, conducted under rigorous rabbinical supervision to ensure halachic standards. Distribution was coordinated in cooperation with local Jewish communities and leaders, reaching both urban centers and remote locations.
The campaign was conducted by FJC and Chabad’s Jewish Relief Network Ukraine (JRNU) with the support of donors from around the world, enabling assistance to a wide demographic of Ukrainian Jews, including Holocaust survivors, displaced persons, and families with children facing financial hardship.
Daniel Gordon, FJC’s Resource Development and PR Coordinator, noted “This campaign was a clear example of what can be accomplished through international cooperation and a shared commitment to our Jewish brethren facing adversity.”
Although the holiday has passed, contributions are still being accepted to help support continued humanitarian needs across the region. Donations can be made here.
