The activity of EnerJew, FJC’s Jewish youth movement in the FSU, continues to expand, professionalize, and prepare the future generation of Jewish leaders in the region. The EnerJew ‘School of Madrichim’ recently hosted 45 young leaders from twenty-nine cities and regions across Russia and Belarus, focusing on combining professional development with positive energy and Jewish spirit.

A particularly uplifting and energetic atmosphere characterized the first of two leadership seminars, which took place in the Moscow suburbs over five days. The follow-up seminar is scheduled for spring, with participants continuing their training through online programs between the in-person gatherings.

The Leadership School combines lectures, workshops, brainstorming sessions, and engaging lessons covering both professional management skills and Jewish values and heritage. This comprehensive approach aims to prepare the next generation of youth movement leaders who will work with Jewish teens aged 12-17 across the former Soviet Union, ensuring they receive the highest quality programming and guidance.

The seminar was successfully led by the School of Madrichim Director Mrs. Kristina Shulman and Rabbi Azaria Shaulov. Additional speakers and lecturers included Rabbi Shlomo Neeman, Rabbi Moshe Rochlin, Rabbi Moshe Elkin, and Rabbi Baruch Eisman.
