A joint leadership training seminar was held in the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine to reinforce and enhance the Jewish youth movement’s activities across the country. The EnerJew, operating under FJC’s guidance and with JRNU support, brought together both counselors and coordinators from more than thirteen cities and regions throughout Ukraine.

The combined seminar took place in Ukraine’s western Carpathian Mountains, gathering representatives from 13 cities and regions nationwide, including 16 counselors and 14 coordinators who participated in both the School of Madrichim and Coordinator Seminar programs. The seminar was led by Ms. Lena Kovalova, with the participation of Rabbi Motl Gordon.

“Especially now, given the unique challenges facing Ukrainian Jewry,” explains Ms. Kovalova, “the importance of this seminar has grown significantly. Young people are yearning for a sense of belonging and stability, and our counselors and coordinators serve as their most natural address for support. Thanks to the knowledge and motivation they receive through our combined School of Madrichim and Coordinator Seminar, they are better equipped to provide warm embrace and attentive ear to our youth.”
